In the early through mid-90′s, I expanded my entrepreneurial horizons and ran a small graphics arts studio and partnered in the operation of an industrial hemp/organic clothing retail store. Even though I have been experimenting with photography as a hobbyist throughout most of my adult life, it wasn’t until early 2004 when I started shooting photos of the surf before or after paddling out, that it turned into a passion that was generating as much stoke as surfing itself (well, almost). I currently split my time between shooting and performing the duties of an electrical building inspector.  I spend a lot of quality time chasing good surf, both in and out of the water, along the same stretch of Southern California coastline that I have frequented my whole life, as well as other areas of the planet. I am also into other types of photography – portraits, lifestyle, sports action, landscape and wildlife – but you will always find me back in the surf zone, shooting what I love most – waves! Or just riding them…
