Tattoo Artist | Jason Paul

Jason Paul Saylor, a Long Beach local and tattoo artist since 1984, apprenticed under Rick Walters at the legendary Bert Grimms on The Pike.  Known for his artistic versatility, he is heavily influenced by traditional Japanese, Low Brow, and graffiti art.  These influences, along with a tongue in cheek sense of humor, have translated into bold large scale paintings, rich in layers and steeped in personal history, served with his own brand of edge. Utilizing a medley of media, including acrylics, spray paint, graffiti ink,

one-shot, and stenciling on wood panel, each piece is bold and heavily steeped in pop references  and  personality.  From etching tattoo stencils on acetate to hand cutting large scale stencils for street style graffiti art, everything has impact, nothing is shy.  No Plan B.
